Was not planned to use him, but there was a change in driver. First of all, delayed on arrival. Then wanted to charge for a crazy amount for additional charge. Then the van took 1.5 hours to travel a 40 mins journey. After that he will break your items, and finally ignore you when you try to contact him.

Adriano and his partner were incredible. So considerate, smart and kind. Everything was done with care and speedily. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Exactly what I expected for the money. Even though this driver was a replacement, the driver and the lady helper were fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable but of course human as a few things could have been done in a different way. Overally, I am satisfied. I wish every driver was the same and I will hire them again, when needed

I am most disappointed with Man & Van because the driver that I had selected and paid extra because of his excellent review record, was changed last minute to a complete incompetent, unprofessional & abusive driver & assistant that I would have never considered for this job based on their reviews.

Adriano Zacarias, the replacement driver, is a very “dangerous” mover. He threw almost half a bottle of washing up liquid on the kitchen floor so that he could move the washing machine easier; this has made my kitchen a skating rink whenever wet and since yesterday I have had 2 near misses. No matter how many times I clean the floor, it is still very slippery (photographic evidence available). This is a very serious health & safety failure that Man & Van have now been advised.

Him and his female assistant arrived one and a half hour late. Adriano parked the van incorrectly blocking other self -storage users and were told by the store manager to be considerate of other storage users (I found this most embarrassing).

Adriano had no idea of how to park the van to be easily accessible by the storage trolleys and had to move it several times. He found the most difficult and time-consuming way to transfer my things from the storage to the van; his female assistant taking one item at the time, by hand, from the storage room all the way to the van until I had to asked to please take a storage trolley and load it with many items otherwise it’ll take them all day long to load the van.

At one point all the drawers in the chest of draws that he was carrying fell on the floor and I was lucky that there was no damage. They were so very keen on wasting time that they kept on forgetting the trolleys (offered by the self-storage for a quick and easy loading / unloading).

They wasted at least one hour (parking the van, arguing and generally being most inefficient).

Adriano agreed to pick up a fridge and washing machine along the way at an additional cost of £100 in cash (I had to go to the bank and get the cash – evidence: withdrawal receipt). They were struggling to take the fridge out of the house until my friend told them to turn it sideways… Obvious, right? Not to Adriano & partner who were supposed to be the professional movers… Cherry on top: after 24 hours I have switched on the fridge, and it doesn’t work. It has been damaged in-transit.

The drive took longer than quoted even though there was no traffic & I arrived within 3 hours, and they said that only car can achieve this time, not vans; then my question is: why did they quote this time (3.15 minutes) in the first place if it was not possible? It is not my fault if the driver that I selected could manage this time but Adriano could not.

On arrival, I cannot at all complaint because the unloading of the van to the apartment was a lot more difficult than the loading and they managed it in the same amount of time as the loading.

They were not prepared and had nothing to put on the freshly cleaned carpet, when taking my things inside the apartment, so I requested that after the washing machine incident, they leave most things at the entrance, and I take them inside the apartment. Still, I have stains in the carpet due to washing liquid incident.
Adriano wanted to charge me for 4 hours extra time until I told him that I have photographic evidence of the time he arrived, left, etc., then he reduced it to 2 hours. He “forced” me to pay him by bank transfer immediately after completion and "refused to give me an invoice / receipt"
He called me “darling” which I found most annoying and unprofessional and requested that he stops.
Overall, a dreadful experience never to be repeated or recommended.

The girl who took care of the movement was fast and good. The only problem that I had is that I had a plant that I told them to take care of, but unfortunately one branch broke. Other than that, all good.

He was late but it was properly communicated. He comes with companions who helped me with an ease of moving and they’ve been very helpful. I would definitely hire them again.

The move did not happen. The driver and young lady arrived late at 1620 for a 1400 appointment for driver and helper.
They had a very small van despite asking me for a list and pictures of the items to be moved. The ‘boss’ on the phone said their Luton van is not working at the moment. They should not have accepted the job because as the removal experts they should have informed the van they had was not suitable for that number of items. Your company asked for the full payment in advance so I am owed the full amount because the move did not happen. I would like to have a discussion with someone not just emails please to resolve this situation. You have all my details so please call me.

The driver actually arrived 10 minutes early, but was happy to wait outside until I was ready to start loading the van. The driver was very quick and thorough with getting the job done. My items were treated with care, especially when realising that I had office equipment to transport, such as PC monitors, a specialist chair, a specialist desk and a work laptop (he handed the laptop to me directly when unloading the van after the move). These small actions make a difference, especially on what was a very difficult day for me.
