In that payment we selected for the driver to help. He wanted another 30 pounds for carrying when we arrived at the destination. He is already keeping more of half of the payment for nothing. Wouldn't book this service again for sure

The driver put so much unnecessary pressure on me, very rude, and had no PPE. Please do not expect getting all of your stuff carried if you’re behind and still packing when he arrives. He will tell you off saying it’s not him carrying stuff and you finish packing, ask you whether you want him to wait for you to finish packing even though there are things that are already packed and ready to be taken out..
This was my first moving using Man&Van and wasn’t sure if those behavior were normal, but my flatmate who was WFH was hearing all and was very angry towards him with his rudeness as well as my landlord, who briefly had a chat with him over my phone, told me that he’s very rude and I should at least leave a review honestly so that it could help others having similar unpleasant experiences. Also I got some scratches and marks on my chair leg which I only realized after he left, not being cautious with stuff. To be fair, he unloaded all of my stuff himself as I had some other issues to sort out when I got to my new property, but overall it wasn’t a nice experience at all and unfortunately I can not recommend this Man and Van at all. | 15th October |

He was incredibly polite and gladly helped us move furniture to our new flat. The whole process took less than an hour and a half (which was the time estimated by this website) so that was great too as we could sort furniture out well ahead of schedule. I am still amazed at how he was able to carry two suitcases up two flights of stairs without breaking a sweat, absolute legend!
I will definitely be using this website again and will certainly choose this driver and company again. No furniture was even remotely bumped or scratched etc and the process was incredibly quick. Thanks! | 24th August |

I had hired for two hours and noted I had 2 flights of stairs. The move only took just less than an hour, and there were a few big things that I would have liked help carrying up the stairs at the other end but he left before I could ask. Perhaps a lack of communication from my side but he seemed very keen to take off.

My desk got one of the legs broken and the man was being rude to me and my friend who I was moving with. He didn’t even help to bring the stuff upstairs in the new house and had a terrible attitude towards us. Would never recommend.
Driver's response: Hi, I was expecting this complaint to come through that's why I took photos of the so called broken table leg. The table in question had 4 of it's stands(legs) loose, the screws holding them were loose thereby making the table unstable and feeble. I highlighted this as we were loading the van but she and her boyfriend said it didn't matter if it came off because they can easily screw it back. And when some of the screws came off, they didn't bother that much but for sceptical reasons, I took photos of the condition of the table 'leg' should any matter arose. About I being rude to them is something that never happened, I even went beyond their booked time, and saved them going on a second trip by taking the time to tactically load the van to accommodate all their items as they had a lot, saved them cost from a second trip which they said they will be willing to pay for if it came to that. Driver's response: Hi, I have nothing to state order than this customer by name 'Emma' is lying, she was very cheerful at first, the job was going on well and finished well, except for when her boyfriend that was helping load the van as well, left to go watch football with his mates leaving her and I to do the remaining job which was still much when the man left. Emma did not take this lightly and was venting her anger through wrong words, mood swings, and through the rest of her body language. To add to this, Emma apologized to me regarding the way she expressed her ill feelings about the situation and this apology was delivered by her when the job was finished ( please ask her if she didn't apologize?). Emma lied about how many flight of stairs she had, she had 6 flight of stairs at the delivery address and was charged for the extra ones, she begged me to receive £20 extra from her as she had so much stuff in such a manner we had to do 2 trips, and I did that for her, she gave me an extra £5 as tip for a job well done. Now you can see for yourself how a ' slow working driver, that didn't do much of the job assigned to him but rather left most of the job to be done by Emma' was rewarded? Please I will like you to ask her all these I have stated and to be honest, when she started her ill behavior, I had premonitions that a thing like this might happen so I did take photos of the flight of stairs. Hi, I am really surprised at receiving this report. This customer first of all lied about the flight of stairs at the delivery address, she stated while booking that she had no stairs only to find out that she had 4 flight of stairs, she begged me to please slash the price for the number of stairs by £5 which I did to favour her. On arriving at the delivery address, she had the wrong keys to enter her apartment so she directed I drop her items at the entrance to her apartment as she had a friend coming over to help her, her friend later came over and did help as well. To be honest, this move went well, there was no exchange of words or anything, so I am very surprise at receiving a negative review from her. When I was leaving her place she was the one that stated that she was going to leave me a good review, I never ask any of the customers to leave or not leave reviews, never. And for the unload he couldn't park as they were no space available in the street so he helped out a minimum but did not bring the boxes up as per the quote even though we have a lift. A bit disapointed as for what it was it is a very expensive quote.
CMV response: We do ask that customers arrange adequate parking for their move. If adequate parking is not provided, the driver will be unable to leave the van if it is at risk of receiving a Penalty Charge Notice. With the review I got from Lucero and husband, it's obvious they are not just lying but also trying to do damage to business reputation if they can. These couple don't understand English, they speak and understand around 1% of English language. I arrived at the collection address 30 minutes before collection time, Lucero and husband were not even at the collection location at the time, when I called her to let her know I was at the address already she was amazed and told me she will be at the location by next 15 minutes. Well I waited. When they arrived, they came to my van and introduced themselves. When we stepped into the collection address, the sewing machine was at the basement which was 2 flights of stairs downwards and at the front was a flight of stairs, I made it clear to them that a £15 extra charge will apply to this move considering the flight of stairs in place of which they did not show any signs of displeasure in this. We took the industrial sewing machine and loaded it in the van. On getting to their final destination, it was a congestion charge zone and I still explained to them and did show them the signs stating congestion charge zone at the entrance to their street but they mumbled words in their language and their countenance changed towards me, I didn't negatively react to their countenance as I didn't know what they were saying to each other. Well, we unloaded the machine, the machine soiled my van with so much oil, I and her husband had to do some serious cleaning of the van while Lucero went to withdraw my money from the cash machine. I received my money from her and left, there was no disrespect to any one and I had my straps and blankets in the van as usual. This was my first moving using Man&Van and wasn’t sure if those behavior were normal, but my flatmate who was WFH was hearing all and was very angry towards him with his rudeness as well as my landlord, who briefly had a chat with him over my phone, told me that he’s very rude and I should at least leave a review honestly so that it could help others having similar unpleasant experiences. Also I got some scratches and marks on my chair leg which I only realized after he left, not being cautious with stuff. To be fair, he unloaded all of my stuff himself as I had some other issues to sort out when I got to my new property, but overall it wasn’t a nice experience at all and unfortunately I can not recommend this Man and Van at all.

Hi,
I was expecting this complaint to come through that's why I took photos of the so called broken table leg. The table in question had 4 of it's stands(legs) loose, the screws holding them were loose thereby making the table unstable and feeble. I highlighted this as we were loading the van but she and her boyfriend said it didn't matter if it came off because they can easily screw it back. And when some of the screws came off, they didn't bother that much but for sceptical reasons, I took photos of the condition of the table 'leg' should any matter arose.
About I being rude to them is something that never happened, I even went beyond their booked time, and saved them going on a second trip by taking the time to tactically load the van to accommodate all their items as they had a lot, saved them cost from a second trip which they said they will be willing to pay for if it came to that.
In summary, their table leg was not broken in the process of this move.

Hi,
I have nothing to state order than this customer by name 'Emma' is lying, she was very cheerful at first, the job was going on well and finished well, except for when her boyfriend that was helping load the van as well, left to go watch football with his mates leaving her and I to do the remaining job which was still much when the man left.
Emma did not take this lightly and was venting her anger through wrong words, mood swings, and through the rest of her body language. To add to this, Emma apologized to me regarding the way she expressed her ill feelings about the situation and this apology was delivered by her when the job was finished ( please ask her if she didn't apologize?).
Emma lied about how many flight of stairs she had, she had 6 flight of stairs at the delivery address and was charged for the extra ones, she begged me to receive £20 extra from her as she had so much stuff in such a manner we had to do 2 trips, and I did that for her, she gave me an extra £5 as tip for a job well done. Now you can see for yourself how a ' slow working driver, that didn't do much of the job assigned to him but rather left most of the job to be done by Emma' was rewarded?
Please I will like you to ask her all these I have stated and to be honest, when she started her ill behavior, I had premonitions that a thing like this might happen so I did take photos of the flight of stairs.
Gladly, she stated 'THE DRIVER WAS RESPECTFUL, THE DRIVER WAS ON TIME, THE DRIVER HAD BLANKETS AND STRAPS' as expected.

I am really surprised at receiving this report. This customer first of all lied about the flight of stairs at the delivery address, she stated while booking that she had no stairs only to find out that she had 4 flight of stairs, she begged me to please slash the price for the number of stairs by £5 which I did to favour her.
On arriving at the delivery address, she had the wrong keys to enter her apartment so she directed I drop her items at the entrance to her apartment as she had a friend coming over to help her, her friend later came over and did help as well.
To be honest, this move went well, there was no exchange of words or anything, so I am very surprise at receiving a negative review from her. When I was leaving her place she was the one that stated that she was going to leave me a good review, I never ask any of the customers to leave or not leave reviews, never.
I am really surprised and will like this investigated, maybe get back to her to ask why she really did state I was rude? I just don't get it.

With the review I got from Lucero and husband, it's obvious they are not just lying but also trying to do damage to business reputation if they can.
These couple don't understand English, they speak and understand around 1% of English language.
I arrived at the collection address 30 minutes before collection time, Lucero and husband were not even at the collection location at the time, when I called her to let her know I was at the address already she was amazed and told me she will be at the location by next 15 minutes.
Well I waited. When they arrived, they came to my van and introduced themselves.
When we stepped into the collection address, the sewing machine was at the basement which was 2 flights of stairs downwards and at the front was a flight of stairs, I made it clear to them that a £15 extra charge will apply to this move considering the flight of stairs in place of which they did not show any signs of displeasure in this. We took the industrial sewing machine and loaded it in the van.
On getting to their final destination, it was a congestion charge zone and I still explained to them and did show them the signs stating congestion charge zone at the entrance to their street but they mumbled words in their language and their countenance changed towards me, I didn't negatively react to their countenance as I didn't know what they were saying to each other. Well, we unloaded the machine, the machine soiled my van with so much oil, I and her husband had to do some serious cleaning of the van while Lucero went to withdraw my money from the cash machine.
I received my money from her and left, there was no disrespect to any one and I had my straps and blankets in the van as usual.
